Welcome to Richmond Community College! The Student Development Department offers a wide variety of services to make your educational career enjoyable and successful. Whether you want a program that gets you directly into the workforce or a path to a bachelor's degree, RCC can help you reach your goals.
A skills assessment is required so we can better meet your educational needs. Set scores determine whether you need to take a developmental course to improve your skills base before taking college-level courses.
Counselors are available during day and evening hours to evaluate your assessment scores and assist you in declaring a major. They are also available to help guide you to resources to assist you with your educational and personal issues.
Our Financial Aid Office personnel provide students a wealth of information on sources of funding to assist students with tuition. Students begin seeking aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at least six weeks before registration for courses. A completed FAFSA is necessary for students seeking scholarships as well as Pell Grants.
Student records are like personal credit histories, everything needs to be accurate, filed on time, and confidential. When applying to the college, high school and other transcripts must be on file in this office before you can be accepted and schedule courses. Your schedules, grades, and RCC transcripts are managed by this office. Graduating or transferring to a university? Visit this office for assistance.
